Fans of American basketball are eager to see the men’s national team compete at the 2024 Summer Olympics in Paris. The first game of Team USA is scheduled for July 28 against Serbia in Lille, France.
However, ahead of the first game, Team USA’s star player fell sick and was unable to participate in the practice session. According to NBA insider Brian Windhorst of ESPN, Joel Embiid couldn’t practice due to illness. Playing against the three-time NBA MVP Nikola Jokic, Team USA will need a fully fit roster. In addition to Embiid, Anthony Davis was also affected by the illness and missed few practice sessions.
