Texas Longhorns defensive lineman T’Vondre Sweat is certainly a man on a mission to improve his stock for the 2024 NFL Draft.
The 6-foot-4, 366-pound lineman has been a major talking point across the scouting world today after running an impressive 40-yard dash time of 5.27 during the NFL Scouting Combine on Thursday.
Sweat broke the internet by running a time that is awfully impressive for a player of his size:
The fact that Sweat was only a little bit slower than those two says a lot, given that Sweat weighs 19 more pounds than Vea and 56 more pounds than Jones, respectively.
Sweat is one of several standout Longhorns players that is widely projected to be taken within the first two rounds. Fellow defensive lineman Byron Murphy II, wide receivers Xavier Worthy and Adonai Mitchell and tight end Ja’Tavion Sanders are also likely to be day one or early day two picks.
The 2024 NFL Draft will be held in Detroit, Michigan from Apr. 25 to Apr. 27. The Chicago Bears hold the No. 1 selection, courtesy of the Carolina Panthers.
