After Cardi B announced that she’d split up with Offset recently, fans were pretty shocked – but now the Migos rapper has made a public declaration of love and apologised in video message directed at Cardi on Instagram.
In the video, Offset states, only got one birthday wish and that’s to get my wife back, Cardi. We’re going through a lot of things in the media”. He then adds I wanna apologise to you Cardi. You know, I embarrassed you, I made you look crazy, doing things i didn’t have no business partaking in” before addiny “I apologise for breaking your heart, breaking our promise and God’s promise”.
Uffset labelled himself as a “selfish husband and admitted that he’s ‘trying to be a better person”. He also reveals that he wants to spend Chritmas with both Cardi and their young daughter Kulture and states i wanna be able to spend the rest of my life with you. Claiming he didn’t cheat on Cardi, uffset says,
“I didn’t f—k that girl but I was entertaining it and I apologise. I love you and I hope you can forgive me”. The video was uploaded on Offset’s birthday and afterwards he made an appearance at 21 Savage’s show where the crowd sang him ‘Happy Birthday’ before shouting ‘Cardi Take Offset Back’.
Cardi is yet to respond to the video and it’s not known whether she has spoken to Offset following his grand gesture.
The video comes after she revealed she and Offset have been separated for quite some time.”I’ve been single for a minute now,” she said, according to a recording of the livestream shared on X. The video circulated on social media on Monday. The “Bongos” artist said some may have predicted a breakup was coming. “I don’t know if you guys have been getting clues from me, from my Lives, or from my Stories, when I put some certain music, or find my unfollowings,” Cardi shared. Her statement was seemingly in response to fans noticing she and Offset had unfollowed each other on Instagram last week.
During the video, the Grammy winner said she wanted to start the new year “fresh” and “open,” as she admitted, “I’m curious for a new life, for a new beginning. And yeah…
I’m excited.” After the news, a source told PEOPLE, “They’re tumultuous. They’ve broken up and gotten back together and broken up again way more than the public has seen.” However, the insider added,
“They’ve nad really good times together.” Cardi and Offset quietly tied the knot in 2017, and share two children together daughter Kulture Kiari, 5, and son Wave Set, 2.
Still, with as much love and support as they have shown each other, the pair have had their fair share of ups and downs.
