Troubling details have emerged following reports pertaining to the shooting of NFL wide receiver Tank Dell in Florida.

The Houston Texans revealed that their pass-catcher was among those injured during a mass shooting at a nightclub in Sanford, Florida, on Saturday evening. Dell, 24, was transported to the hospital and was later released, having suffered a non-life-threatening injury.

As mentioned above, additional details regarding the incident have since emerged.

According to reports, 10 people were shot at a bar following a verbal altercation, which unfortunately resulted in 10 people getting shot. A 16-year-old boy is understood to be the shooter.

Florida Today reported the following:

“The incident began as a verbal altercation that escalated,” SCSO spokesperson Kim Cannaday said in a statement to local media and The Associated Press.

“According to SCSO investigators, a verbal altercation escalated and the shooter shot 10 people before being apprehended by a security officer working at the venue. The victims suffered non-life-threatening wounds, mostly to the lower extremities, deputies said.”

Shooter Involved In Tank Dell Incident Identified

The shooting reportedly occurred at Cabana Live at 4380 Carraway Place, which, according to Facebook, had been booked for a private event.

The shooter has since been identified as Christopher Bouie Jr. and has been booked into a juvenile detention center, per the sheriff’s office. Several of the victims have indicated that they would like to press charges.

Fortunately, no one lost their life as a result of this incident, with many of the victims suffering lower-extremity wounds.
