Cardi B and Rihanna linked up less than two weeks after the NYC rapper shared her desire to craft the “perfect” record for a collab with the superstar songstress.

The duo mingled with other celebs at the Hollywood bash hosted by Hollywood Unlocked’s Jason Lee on Tuesday night (March 26).

Footage from the evening shows Rhianna enthusiastically singing along to Cardi’s breakout hit “Bodak Yellow,” as Cardi performed to the crowd.

The surprising link-up has fans clamoring for a Rihanna and Cardi B collab. Fans are eagerly awaiting a new album from both artists, and a joint single would be a dream come true for their fan bases, and Cardi B.

Earlier this month, the “Enough” hitmaker revealed that she has a collab with the Bajan-born singer on her wish list.

“I love Rihanna’s music, but I don’t do music like that,” Cardi B admitted during an appearance on ehe Million Dollaz Worth of Game podcast. I sound kinda stupid trying to sing like that, trying [to] sound like that. So if I ever get that perfect record, I can not wait until I feel like, ‘This song… I know she’s going to like it”.

She continued, “Because I don’t want to send her nothing like, ‘Ho, what the f### is this s###? Take this thing out of my face’.”

Cardi concluded by saying a potential song with Rihanna “would be so dope.”

Cardi B, on the other hand, threatened to sue the Los Angeles Police Department over an alleged incident that she claimed ended with her being strip searched over the weekend.

The 31-year-old rapper backtracked on the story to say that there was ‘no truth’ to her wild claims after the LAPD said there was no record of the incident ever taking place.

Cardi made the allegations during an Instagram Live stream on Monday, although some fans speculated that she was joking around for dramatic effect.

Then on Tuesday, the LAPD told both TMZ and The Daily Beast that there was no record of the incident ever taking place.

And now Cardi has come forward to say that there was ‘no truth’ to her wild story and that she was ‘taken out of context.’

‘This IG live was taken out of context and there is no truth to this story. Apologies for any confusion,’ the rapper said in a statement to Billboard.

In Monday’s Instagram Live, the rapper began by telling fans that she was ‘stopped by the cops’ in Los Angeles on Sunday.

‘They thought I was trafficking fentanyl, and they thought I had a gun in my car, so they stopped me and everything. All the helicopters in L.A., they was outside. Yo, I was freaking out,’ she continued.

‘They had me outside for like, three hours. They had me getting butt naked outside, s**t was crazy. It was deadass a movie and whatever, but you already know.’

The Enough hitmaker then said she was ‘about to sue the LAPD’ over the alleged debacle.

Despite her allegations, a detective at the LAPD told the Daily Beast that they had ‘no record of contact with Cardi’.

Law enforcement sources also told TMZ that there were no reports of the incident Cardi described and that ‘if something as dramatic as what she described happened, it’d be documented’.

It’s possible that Cardi was joking about the incident, as she was speaking in a different voice when she recounted it on Instagram – and even burst out laughing at the end of the tale.

‘Alright, so no, seriously, I just wanna say thank you to my mother f***ing fans,’ she added at the end.

It comes just days after Cardi stripped down for the X-rated music video to her new hit Enough (Miami). Cardi can be seen strutting her stuff in a racy one-piece, which partially covered her with furry coat, and knee-high platform platform.
