Watch: Caitlin Clark reunites with Kate Martin & Gabbie Marshall at Iowa for preseason scrimmage (PO)

NCAA Women

Caitlin Clark has stayed very busy during the 2024 WNBA offseason. After playing basketball for nearly an entire year, she has the chance to rest and reconnect before focusing on a new season where her Indiana Fever will be considered at least a playoff team.

Meanwhile, she’s honing her golf skills but also paying a special visit to her alma mater. The Iowa women’s basketball team’s Instagram shared a video of a scrimmage session where two players combined for a spectacular play that included a between-the-legs pass to initiate the attack.

Clark was fired up after watching this play and started running around the court to celebrate.

Clark gave a high-five to one of the players while Gabbie Marshall, who wasn’t in the game, laughed. Then, Caitlin hugged new coach Jan Jensen before pointing at Kate Martin, who was sitting on the sideline and celebrating the play as well.

Clark has been involved in college activities during the offseason. A couple of weeks ago, she supported her boyfriend Connor McCaffery as he started his journey as an assistant coach for Butler.

After enjoying incredible years in Iowa, Clark remains close to the institution. She was a two-time AP Player of the Year, four-time AP All-American, four-time All-Big Ten member, three-time Big Ten Player of the Year and two-time NCAA All-Tourney member.

In four seasons, she played 139 games, averaging 28.4 points, 7.1 rebounds, and 8.2 rebounds per game while shooting 46.2% from the field, 37.7% from deep, and 85.8% from the free-throw line.

Caitlin Clark, Kate Martin had heartfelt reaction to Gabbie Marshall’s date night pics
The Caitlin Clark, Kate Martin and Gabbie Marshall connection remains strong even after they went separate ways. Clark and Martin became pros with the Indiana Fever and Las Vegas Aces, respectively, while Marshall retired from the game after her fifth year and attended graduate school instead.

Marshall shared a series of pictures of her date night with boyfriend Spencer Touro, drawing a lot of attention and getting a lot of positive comments, including two from Clark and Martin.

“Hawtttttt. Love you two,” Clark wrote.
“Cuties😍,” Martin commented.
They’re still going strong almost a year after taking different paths in life. As for the Hawkeyes, they will start a new era without Lisa Bluder on the sideline.

They lived their most successful time with Clark, Martin and Marshall on the team, but it’s time to move on and try to find or develop players who can relive the good old moments.
