So I’m going to write this blog and act like you all aren’t the biggest women’s college basketball fans to walk this Earth. If you do happen to have watched a game other than Part 1 or Part 2 of the LSU / Iowa rivalry, skip down past this paragraph. But if you are just a casual, let me be the first to inform you that Hailey Van Lith has not been at LSU playing for Kim Mulkey her entire career. In fact, she just got there this year….coming over an incredible three seasons at Louisville, where she averaged 20 ppg last year and took the Cardinals to the Final 4.

And then with this transfer portal thing that’s caught on like a wildfire, she abruptly left Louisville and title chased / stardom chased her way to Lousiana to join Angel Reese and Kim Mulkey. And to say it nicely, it was a fucking disaster. This team had more hype surrounding it than the Eagle dream team with Vince Young and Mike Vick. And although they made the Elite 8, you cannot say they were successful. Lost their first game of the year in a huge upset, didn’t win the SEC, and didn’t make the Final Four.

And Hailey Van Lith dropped 9 points per game to be a part of the circus. AND Kim Mulkey embarrassed her on the national stage, giving her the impossible assignment of guarding Caitlin Clark without any help. It went as you’d think……

41 points and 12 assists. Which honestly shouldn’t come as that much of a surprise, as it happened last year to HVL too.

I don’t know where this girl is going to go next, but she’s gotta want to get a hell of a long way from LSU. In all honesty, she should’ve gone to Iowa and been on the same Beatles team but without all the drama. Just stand there and catch and shoot threes when everyone helps onto Clark. Everyone focuses on her, except apparently LSU.
