Patrick Mahomes has returned to the Chiefs’ headquarters for OTAs, and he has brought along his dad bod.
Last month, Mahomes told TIME that his “dad bod” was “great” for an NFL quarterback. In February, Mahomes won his third Super Bowl with the Chiefs.
On Tuesday, Patrick Mahomes was recorded showing up OTAs as he could be seen sporting a gray shirt that showed off his build, and it was certainly not a six-pack underneath that shirt.
Fans wasted no time heading to the comments to bring up his dad bod.
Kansas City Chiefs quarterback Patrick Mahomes joked that it’s “DadBodSZN” after being body-shamed in January. His wisecrack came almost two months after a video of him shirtless in the locker room went viral and caused debate over his physique.
Speaking to TIME about his cravings for snacks and fast food, including Chick-fil-A, Whataburger, and Starbursts, Mahomes revisited that photo.
‘I definitely have the dad bod a little bit,’ Mahomes told TIME at first before defending his body shape.
‘I’ll also say I have a great body for a quarterback. You’ve got to have some padding in there to take the hits that we take.’

Coors Light helped fans get a “dad bod” just like Patrick Mahomes last month when the beer brand unveiled two “Dad Bod” T-shirts for sale as a collaborative project with Mahomes.
During a press conference ahead of the Super Bowl in February, Mahomes said, “I have a six-pack. It’s just under the dad bod. If you feel, there might be some skin there, but then underneath that, the six-pack is there. You just gotta get real close and squint a little bit. I think you’ll see it.”
The Kansas City Chiefs star quarterback, who has seen many triumphs, including three Super Bowl titles, two league MVP awards, and dad of two, openly embraces his figure.
