NFL fans can be extremely delusional when evaluating their favorite players. It often leads to misled opinions that players on their team are far better than they really are. Even coaches and front offices can be caught thinking the same.
For this list we are going to go over The Current Most OVERRATED Player From All 32 NFL Teams
Arizona Cardinals: Kyler Murray

The Cardinals will be competing for a top three pick in the upcoming draft therefore it’s hard to say anyone is overrated of their team. The only real choice is Kyler Murray especially since he hasn’t shown much improvement since winning the Offensive Rookie of the Year award in 2019.
Atlanta Falcons: Kyle Pitts

The only reason Kyle Pitts can be considered overrated is because of the play calling. In no world should a team spend such a high draft pick on a player and then not even use him. Of course if a player isn’t getting the targets it’s hard to consider him a star in the NFL.
Baltimore Ravens: Mark Andrews

Andrews is consistently considered one of the best tight ends in the league. That’s despite having only one 1000 yard season back in 2021. It’s clear there is a large gap between the premier tight ends and Mark Andrews.
Buffalo Bill: Josh Allen

Between 2018 and 2022 Allen fumbled the ball 52 times and threw 60 interceptions. He makes up for it in passing yards and touchdowns but he is clearly a level below the league’s best. We also can’t forget the lack of playoff success due to turnovers. And to top it all off he can’t win the big game.
Carolina Panthers: Shaq Thompson

He is mostly used as a coverage linebacker but gives up a lot of yards and a very high completion percentage. The Panthers try to get him more involved in pass rush by putting him on blitz calls but he has very little success with them.
Chicago Bears: Justin Fields

16 touchdowns, 9 interceptions and a passer rating of 86.3 in 2023… not that good. The Bears certainly haven’t done the young quarterback any favors in his development, but he’s still overrated.
Cincinnati Bengals: Joe Mixon

Mixon has fallen off tremendously since his amazing 2021 season. It seems like most NFL fans have been able to realize this except for Bengals supporters. Of course, it’s hard to give up on someone who just two years ago was so good.
Cleveland Browns: Greg Newsome

Newsome had a solid rookie year in 2021 which gave Browns fans hope for his future. Unfortunately he’s shown very little progression and has plateaued. He is far from a top corner in the league.
Dallas Cowboys: Michael Gallup

Gallup had over 1,000 yards in his second season and it looked like Dallas had found a new star receiver. Since then his stats have fallen each year. It’s hard to see him as more than a wide receiver in most offenses.
Denver Broncos: Russell Wilson

Wilson has probably been overrated his entire career considering most of his playoff success came from the legendary Legion of Boom. After switching to the Broncos it seems like a lot of his flaws have been exposed.
Detroit Lions: David Montgomery

The case of Montgomery is weird because Lions fans don’t think he’s the best running back on the roster but the coaches clearly do. They’ve relied on him so heavily despite spending a first round pick on Jahmyr Gibbs
Green Bay Packers: David Bakhtiari

It wasn’t long ago that Bbakhtiari was considered the best left tackle in the NFL. In fact when he’s playing that could still be the case but he is constantly injured. After his season ending injury in week 2 of 2023 he will have only played 13 games in the last three years.
Houston Texans: Jimmie Ward

When evaluating players people got caught way too much in the past. In his early days with San Francisco, Ward was an extremely successful defensive back. Slowly though we see him on a downward trend.
Indianapolis Colts: Gardner Minshew

The legend of Gardner Minshew is certainly entertaining to follow but he’s no more than an awesome personality. He’ll never be more than a backup quarterback in this league no matter how beloved he is by fans.
Jacksonville Jaguars: Christian Kirk

When you pay someone an insane amount of money like the Jaguars did you really want them to be great. Kirk has had just one 1,000 yard season since the start of his career in 2018 and no more than eight touchdowns in a single season.
Kansas City Chiefs: Mecole Hardman

Hardman has no place in any offense other than the Chiefs. We saw him fail with the New York Jets less than halfway through the 2023 season and ended up back in Kansas City.
Las Vegas Raiders: Marcus Peters

If Peters wasn’t such a ballhawk he’d be considered one of the worst corners in the league. He’s given up over 550 yards every year since he was drafted in 2018.
Los Angeles Chargers: Khalil Mack

Another case of people taking too much into account what Mack was capable of five years ago. He is way past his prime and is no longer a top pass rusher despite what Chargers fans want you to think.
Los Angeles Rams: Tyler Higbee

He might be the best tight end in Rams history but nowhere near a top 10 or top 15 in the league. His best season came back in 2019 and then he had just 734 yards and three touchdowns.
Miami Dolphins: Tua Tagovailoa

If it wasn’t for playmakers like Tyreek Hill and Jaylen Waddle there’s a serious argument Tua wouldn’t be a very successful player. We can’t forget that a lot of fans and even front office personnel were ready to give up on him very early into his career.
Minnesota Vikings: Kirk Cousins

In his career Cousins is barely over a .500 record. It’s also worth noting that his numbers were pretty mediocre until Minnesota got their hands on one of the best receivers in Justin Jefferson. The Vikings have drastically overrated his abilities on the football field.
New England Patriots: JuJu Smith-Schuster

When JuJu’s reputation with NFl fans fell rock bottom so did his on the field play. What once looked like someone who could be a receiver in any offense barely sees the field for more than 50% of the patriots offensive plays.
New Orleans Saints: Michael Thomas

After breaking the reception record in 2019, Thomas fell off a cliff. He missed most of 2020 due to injuries, all of 2021 and most of 2022. He looks to have a bounce back season in 2023 but there’s no denying he’s no longer a top guy.
New York Giants: Saquon Barkley

Giants fans are still hanging onto the thought that Saquon is a top 10 running back in the NFL but it’s clear he’s been passed up. Injuries really derailed what could have been an amazing career.
New York Jets: Aaron Rodgers

Easily a top 10 QB of all time but it’s hard to say he’ll be the one who will bring the Lombardi trophy back to New York. After a poor 2022 season Jets fans need to realize players usually don’t get better past 40 years old.
Philadelphia Eagles: Jalen Hurts

Surrounded by one of the most talented rosters in the league many speculate that’s a big part of his success. Only time will tell if that’s the case but for now he is certainly considered overrated.
Pittsburgh Steelers: Najee Harris

Steelers fans always pull out the excuses when Najee isn’t performing well. They swear he’s a top RB but the numbers just don’t support that.
San Francisco 49ers: Brock Purdy

There’s no player that screams product of the system more than Brock Purdy. 49ers fans swear they haven’t had a good QB in years despite going to the SUper Bowl with Jimmy G only proving further than any qb could be successful under Kyle Shanahan.
Seattle Seahawks: Geno Smith

It’s unbelievable that it took just one decent season for the Seahawlks to shell our $75 million for three more years of Geno. It’s proving to be a bad deal more than halfway into the 2023 season.
Tampa Bay Buccaneers: Antoine Winfield

Winfield played a large role in the Buccaneers 2021 Super Bowl victory but he’s really not that good. In every year he’s given up over a 100 passer rating except 2021 when it was just 92.6.
Tennessee Titans: DeAndre Hopkins

He did have a 1.000 yard season this year and prior to that his last 1,000 yard season was back in 2020 but many still consider him a top receiver. He’s only 31 which is still a great age for someone at his position but he regressed extremely quickly.
Washington Commanders: Andrew Wylie

Wylie has a pretty successful career in Kansas City so Commanders fans thought they found a good starting piece to their offensive line. Halfway through the 2023 season he is tied for giving up the fourth most sacks in the league.
