It’s safe to say that Angel Reese was feeling confident after her Chicago Sky took down the Indiana Fever 88-87 on Sunday afternoon.

“I’m a dog,” Reese said on the ESPN broadcast. “You can’t teach that.”

Reese led the Sky with 25 points. She also contributed 16 rebounds, 13 of which came on defense.

This was the best offensive output of her professional career and it was also the ninth consecutive game she recorded at least 10 rebounds. The win helped Chicago improve to 6-9 on the season and helped it claim a victory over the Fever after dropping the two previous matchups.

This is significant considering the rivalry that has developed between the two teams since Reese and Fever guard Caitlin Clark began their rookie seasons. The Eastern Conference foes will meet one more time in the regular season, with Chicago hoping to even up the season series at two.

That matchup will not come until August 30 in Chicago. In the meantime, both franchises will look to gain ground in the standings.
