Angel Reese may not have been the top pick in the WNBA Draft, but she’s nothing short of an excellent player.

The 6-3 forward entered college hoops as the No. 2 ranked high school player in the 2020 class. After two years at Maryland, Reese transferred to LSU and became one of the top players in the country.

Reese signed a four-year, $324,383 contract with the Chicago Sky after the organization drafted her seventh overall in the 2024 WNBA Draft. The fourth year is a team option.

Her rookie salary is listed at $73,439, and her fourth year, if picked up, would be worth $93,636.

Reese’s contract extends until 2028 when she’ll be an restricted free agent. If the Sky don’t pick up her option for the 2027 season, she will be an unrestricted free agent.

Reese will make $73,439 in her rookie season. This ranks as tied for the fifth-highest contract value for all 2024 rookies.

The WNBA rookie contracts are based on a scale. The top four picks earn the same amount, and the next four make the same amount. Reese is in that second group since she was picked seventh overall in the 2024 WNBA Draft.

Jacy Sheldon, Aaliyah Edwards, and Alissa Pili are also in this second tier.
