After winning a game against the Los Angeles Lakers, Coach Michael Malone spoke highly of his star guard. In an interview, the head coach of the Denver Nuggets praised Jamal Murray for his exceptional performance during game 5 against the Lakers.

“For Jamal to add to his playoff lore by having two game-winners in a series, it’s just incredible. He just told me, ‘I don’t think we win if I don’t play tonight.’ I said, ‘Well, that’s the understatement of the year. The kid is a warrior; I can’t say enough good things about Jamal Murray. The bigger the moment, the kid just continues to shine. I’m proud of him, one tough cookie,” head coach of the Denver Nuggets said.

The Denver Nuggets won the series against the Los Angeles Lakers with a score of 108-106 in an exciting NBA game on Monday. In the last four seconds of the game, Jamal Murray made an outstanding jumper that gave Denver a 4-1 series victory over the Lakers.

At the 17-second mark, the Lakers and Nuggets were tied at 106-106. With just 3.6 seconds left, Murray made a shot inside the paint after Nikola Jokic blocked Davis’ shot and scored two points to put the Nuggets ahead.

This was Murray’s second game-winning basket in a postseason series. Nikola Jokic, the star player of the Denver Nuggets, finished the game with 25 points, 20 rebounds, and nine assists. Murray himself scored 32 points.

Murray and Malone have a close friendship. The Head coach backed up his point guard, and the club won the title the previous year as a result. They have overcome the first challenge on their route to successfully defending their title.
