VIDEO: Cameras Caught Caitlin Clark’s Dad Telling Her To “Shut Up” During NCAA Tournament Game

A good parent is an honest parent and Caitlin Clark certainly has that on her side.

Caitlin Clark’s dad, Brent, yelled at the Iowa superstar during her most recent NCAA Tournament game. Caitlin Clark took care of business on Saturday as Iowa won its NCAA Tournament opener against the Holy Cross Crusaders. However, the Hawkeyes star went viral for an entirely different reason during the game.

During the second quarter of the game, Clark was seemingly complaining to officials when the camera panned to her father Brent who was sitting courtside.

He was not happy either, but not at the officials, but at his daughter for complaining so much.

Clark’s dad was seen telling his daughter to shut up and simply focus on the game.

Even though Clark only hit eight of 19 shots from the floor, she still finished with 27 points, eight boards, 10 assists, and three steals in Iowa’s 91-65 rout.

Many parents from around the globe could relate to this moment between the father-daughter duo, especially since it’s a genuine moment from a father simply wanting the best for his kid.

Brent reportedly got even more savage throughout this contest when it came to his daughter.

CBS Sports reporter Brad Crawford claimed that Brent later could be heard saying, “Take her out, my gosh,” after his daughter committed an offensive foul and her sixth turnover of the first half.
