MIKE TYSON has revealed the warning that his wife has repeatedly given him ahead of his fight with Jake Paul.

The boxing icon will take on the social media star at the AT&T Stadium in Texas on Friday night.

Mike Tyson has been warned about fighting Jake Paul by wife Lakiha Tyson

Tyson, 58, retired from fighting 19 years ago, and his last win came in 2003 against Clifford Etienne.

The Brooklyn brawler has not had an ideal preparation for the bout as he has suffered from health issues.

In May, he dealt with a two-and-a-half-inch-deep stomach ulcer which caused the fight to be pushed back from its original July date.

The scare has led to concerns over his welfare for the fight, however he has claimed he is “seeking glory”.

His wife, Lakiha Spicer, has pleaded with him that he does not need to fight Paul.

He told SPORTbible: “This fight is not going to change my life financially.

“If I did it for free, it’s not going to change my life.

“My wife is constantly telling me, ‘You do not need to do this fight’.

“This is what I want to do, this is me. I’m seeking my glory.”

Tyson has also claimed that the fight against Pual will be the “biggest payday” of his boxing career.

He added: “There are definitely certain guaranteed figures and other certain built-in bonuses and stuff on top of sales.

“There are key performance indicators that trigger certain things.

“This is definitely my biggest payday, of all the fights for sure.

“It is definitely a healthy payday.”

Paul, 27, will be even more motivated to beat Tyson after he received an incredible offer.

The YouTuber will be presented with the opportunity to fight WBC cruiserweight champion Noel Mikaelian for the WORLD TITLE.
