A NEW photo has been revealed of Sha’Carri Richardson celebrating the gold medal with Gabby Thomas in the women’s 4×100-meter on Friday.
Team USA’s first-place finish cemented Richardson’s Olympic redemption tour.

The U.S. women’s 4x100m team featured Melissa Jefferson, Twanish Terry, Thomas, and Richardson.
Despite Thomas’ shaky baton handoff to Richardson, Team USA was able to win with a time of 41.78 seconds, which was just 0.08 seconds ahead of second-place Great Britain.
Richardson provided the surge, running a stellar 10.09 in the second leg.
Thomas posted Instagram photos of the group after earning the gold medal.
In one of the pics, they were shown jumping up for joy with their individual USA flags behind them.
Thomas captioned the post, “Always an honor to be amongst such talent…and we get it done!!!”
Richardson finally captured her first-ever gold and her second medal of the Olympics.
She earned the silver medal in the women’s 100-meter final last weekend.
Richardson finished in second place behind Saint Lucia’s Julien Alfred after being disqualified from the Tokyo 2020 Olympics due to a positive test for THC, indicating recent cannabis us.
Richardson captioned the post with three silver hearts as fans sent praise her way.
“I’m so proud of youuuuuuuu!!!” one commented. “Regardless of every circumstance, you remained steadfast and committed. Your dedication is admirable!”
“Congratulations queen!! Cheering for you always!!!” another wrote.
It was the Americans’ first Olympic gold in the 4×100 relay since 2016.

As for Team USA’s men’s 4×100 relay team, they stunned fans with their disappointing performance in their race.
The team was disqualified after Kenny Bednarek received the first baton pass from Christian Coleman while outside the zone.
Track star Noah Lyles was originally set to compete in the 4x100m team but tested positive for Covid .
Canada brought home the gold, coming in at 37.50 seconds, while South Africa received the silver at 37.57 seconds and Great Britan took the bronze with a time of 37.61 seconds.
