The Buffalo Bills have finally gotten the opportunity to play their Wildcard game scheduled against the Pittsburgh Steelers. The game was originally moved from Sunday to today owing to the inclement weather conditions which resulted in a snowstorm and the entire Highmark Stadium being engulfed in layers of snow. The weather in Buffalo is still freezing cold with there being some snowfall but that has not frozen the spirits of the home fans.

The Buffalo Bills scored their first touchdown in the first quarter early on. The team’s first offensive drive was successful, and they got on the board quickly with a 9-yard pass from Josh Allen to Dawson Knox who found his way to the endzone. Fans in Highmark Stadium were jubilant after this touchdown and in excitement, they began to hurl the snow that had accumulated on their seats in the air.

It was indeed a sight to behold at Highmark Stadium. The Bills won the game comfortably at the end 31-17 and reached the divisional round. The weather might be cold in Buffalo but tonight the atmosphere at Highmark and Josh Allen have been hot. The quarterback had a flawless game so far having thrown for 3 touchdowns and no interceptions.

The police were forced to intervene and warn fans about throwing snow

After watching fans go wild and throw snow all over the stadium and at one another, law enforcement officials were compelled to intervene and warn them about throwing snow in the air. They provided an ultimatum stating if fans did not stop throwing snow, they would be arrested. Well, that is much easier said than done because, from the videos, it appeared as though every fan in Highmark was partaking in the throwing of snow.

Fans were summoned early on today to help clear the turf from ice. The storm resulted in fans working from as early as 4 AM to clear out the excess snow from the field to get the turf ready for the big game. While the field ended up being spotless, there was too much snow for fans to clear out from the stands, thereby the fans that came to watch the games had a tough time locating their seats.

The walkways were cleared out and were accessible to all. The team offered shovels to guests in order to be able to find their seats, some of them resorted to other means such as using whatever they had at their disposal to get rid of the snow. There was snow in all three decks of the stadium. Some fans just gave up and put a piece of cardboard on the snow and sat on it instead. Most of the fans stood in the game because there was just too much snow to clear out.
