What is the reason? Los Angeles Lakers fans are angry about the cause when LeBron James and his teammates were eliminated from the NBA Cup after losing to the Thunder (PO)

Fans shared frustration as the Lakers got eliminated from the NBA Cup

The Los Angeles Lakers faced a must-win situation on Friday night as they took on the Oklahoma City Thunder in their final group-stage game of the Emirates NBA Cup. Following a blowout loss to the Phoenix Suns in their previous matchup, LeBron James’ team needed a victory to stay in contention for the knockout rounds.

Unfortunately, their hopes dashed as they saw a 101-93 defeat to the Thunder. The loss not only dropped the Lakers to a 2-2 record but also eliminated them from the tournament.

The loss left the Lakers fans reeling, with many taking to social media to express their frustration over the team’s lackluster performance. The comment sections were flooded with critical remarks, as fans vented their disappointment with the team’s inability to rise to the occasion in a critical game.

Despite the defeat, Dalton Knecht delivered a standout performance for the Lakers, leading the team with 20 points. D’Angelo Russell also made an impact off the bench, scoring 17 points. On the other hand, Anthony Davis scored 15 points, and LeBron James scored 12 in the losing effort.

Andre Iguodala Praises LeBron James’ Billion-Dollar Impact

Former NBA star Andre Iguodala recently shared his admiration for LeBron James. Appearing on the Come And Talk 2 Me podcast, Iguodala spoke about LeBron’s historic financial and athletic impact. The former Warriors star shared the groundbreaking nature of LeBron’s career.

These athletes today are billion-dollar entities, but they may end up getting $300 million out of their careers, so it only maximizes 30% of their true values, and LeBron is the first athlete to be a billionaire while he’s an active player; he did something that has never been done before, which I think is special in itself,” Iguodala said.

LeBron’s influence extends far beyond basketball, but his on-court performance remains as dominant as ever. Despite the ups and downs the Los Angeles Lakers have faced this season, the 39-year-old James continues to deliver. He is averaging 22.3 points, 8.2 rebounds, and 9.1 assists per game.
