Braless Anya Taylor-Joy cut a casual figure in grey as she left Chateau Marmont on Sunday with her husband Malcolm McRae.

The actress, 28, wore a cropped vest and tailored trousers and carried a large red bag in the crook of her arm.

She finished her look with black shoes and a peach scrunchie and her larger pieces of luggage were pushed by rocker Malcolm and a member of staff.

Musician Malcolm, 30, who is in the band More, looked dapper in a striped shirt which he tucked into blue jeans and a pair of brown boots.

Anya has been in LA promoting her upcoming film Furiosa: A Mad Max Saga, the fifth in the Mad Max series.

Also starring is Chris Hemsworth and the two flew down Hollywood Boulevard in a chariot on Wednesday to promote the film.

The actors were on their way to The Jimmy Kimmel Show and a masked man who looked straight out of the Mad Max universe drove the gold vehicle.

Anya wowed in an edgy leather dress with a front zip that showcased plenty of leg while Chris looked icy cool in a slick black suit and aviator sunglasses.

In order to achieve the spectacle, parts of Hollywood Boulevard were shut down to allow for Anya and Chris’ grand entrance.

The new film from director George Miller is a prequel to his lauded 2015 blockbuster Mad Max: Fury Road, providing an origin story for the title character, played by Charlize Theron in the previous film.

Anya takes over as the younger Furiosa, which is set between 15 and 20 years before the events of Mad Max: Fury Road.

She revealed to Variety earlier in the month the surprising request that director George regularly made as they shot the film.

Anya explained: ‘We’d do takes where he’d be like, “Do it again with your mouth closed.” He has a thing about my mouth. He thinks when my mouth is open, I look too young.’

Though strange, Anya understood his requests, saying: ‘This is the wasteland, and any outbreak of emotion is punished by death….any empathy is punished by death — any kindness, really.

‘It all made sense to me. I think the restrictions that were placed on me by George did create a radiation off the character, because she is being suppressed continuously throughout the film.’

In April 2023, Anya married American musician and actor Malcolm McRae in a lavish Italian ceremony after two years of dating.

Anya only publicly confirmed their nuptials in April when she took to Instagram to celebrate their two-year anniversary.
