WNBA legend Sheryl Swoopes has brought up the every-rookie debate
Indiana Fever’s Caitlin Clark gets fouled and points out what happened Sunday with
striker Angel Reese of the Chicago Sky.

Reese hit Clark in the head while Clark was driving to the basket for a layup. Reese has been violated
error and it has been upgraded to flagrant-1. It started a firestorm
on social networks.

said Swoopes, who appeared on former NBA star Gilbert Arenas’ “Gil’s Arena” podcast
fans and those talking about the WNBA cannot seem like Clark was assaulted.

“That’s the clip they want to post because they’ll get all the likes and reposts,
but it was just a basketball game,” Swoopes said of Reese’s foul. “She hit her head

“My thing is, every time Caitlin gets fouled, we can’t make her seem like it
was assaulted. Fouls are part of basketball. You can watch a lot of matches and players

black.

Swoopes then pointed to both Reese and Clark, saying the foul was just a basketball play.

affirmed that it had nothing to do with Clark’s foul. “I can’t control it
referees and obviously they influenced the game tonight a lot,” Reese said later
