Bronny James is taking his talents elsewhere.

The USC Trojans season has been over and questions arose as to whether Bronny James would be back next year. He answered that question on Tuesday.

James is not headed for the NBA, rather he is entering his name into the transfer portal to head to another college to get more playing time.

Following the departure of head coach Andy Enfield, USC guard Bronny James has decided to see himself out as well.

The son of Los Angeles Lakers superstar LeBron James could’ve declared for the 2024 NBA Draft, but he clearly wants to get more time on the court before he makes that leap.

Coming out of high school at Sierra Canyon in Chatsworth, Los Angeles, James was ranked as the No. 28 overall recruit in the 2023 cycle by 247Sports.

His father, LeBron James, has already stated he will not retire from the NBA until he gets a chance to play alongside his son.

Bronny James Had Minimal Starts During His First Season With USC

As Bronny James is about to end his time with the program following just one season at USC, he appeared in 25 games with six starts in his true freshman season in Los Angeles.

James missed the first eight games of the season as he recovered from a sudden cardiac arrest in early July during the Trojans’ offseason workouts.

Bronny averaged 4.8 points, 2.8 rebounds and 2.1 assists through 19.3 minutes per game in his freshman season with the Trojans. He only scored in double figures three times last season highlighted by a career-high 15 points against Oregon State in December, via ESPN.com.

With another program, he is likely to receive more playing time and possibly be featured in the starting lineup to showcase his talent.
