Caitlin Clark was the No. 1 overall pick in this week’s WNBA Draft, taking no one by surprise. The new Indiana Fever rookie is about to hit another milestone, as it’s been reported that she’s nearing an eight-figure deal with Nike.

Clark could not capture that elusive national championship before leaving college but is set to start fresh in the pros. And she is likely to kick her career off wearing a signature shoe.

According to The Athletic‘s Shams Charania, Mike Vorkunov, and Ben Pickman, the former Iowa star fielded offers from Adidas and Under Armour but is set to sign a lucrative deal with Nike.

Clark already had a deal with the company, but it expired once the NCAA season ended, allowing her to become a sneaker free agent at the height of her popularity.

The guard’s college exploits, which include becoming the NCAA’s highest-ever scorer last season, have made her a household name.

Caitlin Clark Is Expected To Land One Of The Most Lucrative Deals In WNBA History

Caitlin Clark has become quite the draw over the past year. The recent WNBA Draft was the most-watched in history, drawing 2.4 million viewers on Monday, which is over four times the number of people who tuned in last year.

She is now poised to receive one of the most lucrative deals in league history, having already agreed to endorsement deals with some top companies, including Gatorade, State Farm, and Panini.

The BIG3 also made Clark a whopping $5 million offer before the draft, but it doesn’t appear that she intends to accept it. The WNBA might not allow her to do so anyway, given that it’s owned by the NBA, which is not on the best terms with Ice Cube’s league.
