The Los Angeles Rams reportedly had quite a miserable trek home following Sunday’s heartbreaking Wild Card round loss to the Detroit Lions.

According to NFL Network’s Ian Rapoport, the Rams didn’t arrive back home from their flight until just before noon EST, or about 9 a.m. local time. Rapoport stated that there were “hours and hours of delays” because of plane issues:

Just more salt in the wound for a determined Rams team that fell just short of upsetting the Lions in a 24-23 defeat.

The Lions’ victory over old friend Matthew Stafford marked the franchise’s first playoff victory since the 1991 season. Detroit will host the winner of the Tampa Bay Buccaneers-Philadelphia Eagles game in the Wild Card Round.
