The Kansas City Chiefs are signing a star from another sport.

The Kansas City Chiefs will sign former Wales rugby star Louis Rees-Zammit on Friday to play running back and wide receiver, according to NFL reporter Jordan Schultz.

Schultz added that Rees-Zammit “fielded interest from quite a few NFL teams” and also visited the New York Jets, Cleveland Browns, and Denver Broncos.

Rees-Zammit recently wowed a bunch of people by running a 4.43 40-yard dash at the NFL’s international pro day, which takes place following 10 weeks of football training at the IMG Academy in Florida.

He tried out for the roles of running back, wide receiver, and kick returner and now he plays at least two of those roles as a member of the Kansas City Chiefs.

The 6-foot-3, 209-pound Rees-Zammit could play on the other side of the ball as he is also known for his tackling skills. The only thing he needs to get used to is rocking American football equipment like helmets and pads. Not to mention, one look at an NFL playbook may make him go crazy.

According to the official website, the IPP “aims to increase the number of international players in the league by providing elite athletes from around the world with the opportunity to earn a spot on an NFL roster.”

The 22-year-old announced in January that he was leaving rugby and joining the NFL’s international player pathway. He was one of the bright young stars in his former sport, but NFL money can be life-changing.

Kansas City Chiefs Positioning Themselves to Have A 3-Peat Next Season

Patrick Mahomes has his eyes on winning a third consecutive Super Bowl with the Kansas City Chiefs, a feat that has yet to be achieved in NFL history.

The 28-year-old led the Chiefs to a 25-22 win over the San Francisco 49ers in Super Bowl 58 last month, which earned him the third championship of his career.

The last team to win consecutive Super Bowls was the New England Patriots, who won titles in 2004 and 2005 before falling in the divisional round of the playoffs the following year.

The closest that an organization has gotten to a three-peat after winning two Super Bowls is the conference championship game. If any team can get it done, it’s the Kansas City Chiefs.
