A study revealing the percentage of lesbian players in the WNBA has surfaced following some wild claims from OutKick’s Clay Travis.

Travis made an арреагапсе оn FOX News this week and spoke about the treatment Caitlin Clark has been receiving since being drafted out of lowa earlier this year.

According to Travis, Clark is being subjected to cruelty because of her sexuality.

Clark is known to be heterosexual and is dating former lowa men’s basketball player Соппог McCaffrey, while there are multiple lesbian players in the league. It’s why Clay Travis believes race is not the only reason behind the perceived hate the rookie has been subjected to.

“It’s not just race though, it’s also sexuality,” he said. “Caitlin Clark is a white heterosexual woman in a Black lesbian league and they resent and are jealous of all of the attention and the shoe deal that she got.

And instead of recognizing the truth, which is great athletes who people care about coming into your league really do get everybody more mоnеу…” Travis also asserted that 70 percent of the players in the WNBA are lesbians. “70 percent lesbian,” he added after being challenged. “And I think her having a boyfriend, I think it’s a fiancé, who by the way said there needs to be an enforcer, creates two different identity politics universes that she doesn’t fit in in this league.

They don’t like her cause she’s white and they don’t like her cause she’s straight. And as a result, the league is coming undone around her even though she’s bringing in new fans.” Also Read: Clay Travis Believes WNBA Players Are Discriminating Against Caitlin Clark Because She Plays In A “Black Lesbian League” While there are many lesbian players in the WNBA, the figure offered by Clay Travis is nearly twice what a 2022 study determined.

The study notes that the lesbians in the league accounted for around 38 percent of the players. Several top WNBA stars, including Brittney Griner, Sue Bird, and Sheryl Swoopes, have come out as gay over the years.

And while the study is over two years old, there are many straight players in the league, including Clark’s main rival, Angel Reese. Also Read: WNBA Legend Eyeing Comeback, Wants Indiana Fever To Sign Her So She Can Protect Caitlin Clark
