The NFL has made a decision on the Bills-Steelers playoff clash set for this weekend amid worrying weather predictions.

According to the most recent forecast, travel will be “difficult to near impossible” in Buffalo due to heavy snowfall.

“Heavy lake effect snow bands with gusty winds will occur east of Lake Erie and Lake Ontario Saturday through Sunday night,” National Weather Services Buffalo notes. “The snow bands will oscillate north to south, impacting the Buffalo and Watertown Metros. Travel will be difficult to near impossible within snow bands.”

ESPN’s Adam Schefter has reported that the league is monitoring the weather, as is the case for all games. But there has been no change as it pertains to Sunday’s Wild Card showdown between the Bills and the Steelers.

“Teams have been told it’s status quo for Sunday at 1:00 pm….” he tweeted.

There were also reports that the game could be held in Cleveland instead of Buffalo’s Highmark Stadium. However, a spokesperson for the NFL has refuted the claim, stating that no such plan is in place.

On a warmer note, the Bills will allow fans to wear battery-heated clothing for the game.
