Taylor Swift will sit next to Lana del Rey at the upcoming Grammys, which will take place at the Crypto.com Arena in Los Angeles.

With the 2024 Grammys just days away, many fans are wondering if the pop star perform.

PEOPLE has learned she won’t perform at the ceremony because she must immediately travel to Japan for the next leg of her Eras Tour.
“Swift is scheduled to perform four back-to-back shows at the Tokyo Dome from Feb. 7-10, before continuing the Eras Tour in Australia, Asia, and Europe through the end of the summer. The tour is currently set to conclude with concerts in the United States and Canada this fall.”
Swift is up for six Grammys at this year’s awards show, including Song of the Year, record of the year and Best Pop Solo Performance for the No. 1 hit “Anti-Hero,” Best Pop Duo/Group Performance for “Karma” with Ice Spice as well as best pop vocal album and album of the year for Midnights.

During an appearance on “The Pat McAfee Show” last week, Kansas City Chiefs tight end Travis Kelce stated he would not be able to attend.

“I wish I could go support Taylor at the Grammys and watch her win every single award that she’s nominated for,” he said.
Kelce said that Saturday, the day before the Grammys, is a practice day, and Sunday, the day of the ceremony, is a travel day.

Kansas City will face the San Francisco 49ers in this year’s Super Bowl, which takes place Feb. 11 in Las Vegas.

With the Grammys question settled, the only remaining question is whether Swift can make it to the Super Bowl to watch Kelce play after performing in Tokyo.
