Brittany Mahomes is keeping it real when it comes to her skin problems.

The 28-year-old wife of Kansas City Chiefs quarterback Patrick Mahomes took to her Instagram Stories this week to share family photos.

However, after showing a selfie, Brittany Mahomes would post another fresh-faced look, writing, “But just here for your daily reality check. Actually really struggling with my skin right now trying to figure out why it’s just breaking out all around my mouth like I’m allergic to something, but cannot figure it out.”

The mom of two showed off her hair and makeup after a family photo shoot with her husband and their two children before going makeup-free and revealing some skin issues.

Although acne is usually not a serious health threat, it can be upsetting, and severe acne can lead to permanent scarring. Fortunately, for most people, acne tends to go away by the time they reach their 30s, but it is not always the case for others.

While the Sports Illustrated model noted she might be experiencing an allergic reaction due to her diet, she had yet to pinpoint what was going on with her.

“It’ll randomly just flare up,” she said in another video. “And then, it will start to get better and it will go wild again. Last night, it was literally hives and red all around my mouth. I have no idea what’s causing it.”

She then shared a close-up pic of the breakout around her mouth while asking for tips.
“I’ve been trying to figure it out for so long, and it’ll randomly just flare up, and then it will start to get better,” she explained. “Last night it was literally like hives and red down here all around my mouth… I have no idea what’s causing it. I feel like I’ve changed everything I’ve used.”

Following that, she would then reveal her skin diagnosis. Brittany mahomes says she has Perioral Dermatosis.

According to the National Institute of Health, Perioral Dermatitis is “a benign eruption that occurs most commonly in young, female adults, consisting of small inflammatory papules and pustules or pink, scaly patches around the mouth.”
