BROOKLYN Beckham’s wife Nicola Peltz has left fans confused as her friendship with Selena Gomez blossoms.

Former Disney chid star Selena, 30, has joked that she’s in a “throuple” with the newlyweds, after spending beach days and celebrating the New Year with them.

Brooklyn, 23, who is David and Victoria Beckham’s eldest child, chose to spend the start of 2023 with his new wife, 27, rather than his famous family.

His screen star wife has become embroiled in a feud with Spice Girl Victoria, and recently claimed “no family is perfect.”

Yet with family drama aside, fans are now calling out Nicola’s fashion.

In a series of sweet snaps with popstar Selena, she can be seen wearing a pink bikini and matching bandana, before covering up in a white top.

It is her two chunky gold Cartier watches, both clasped around her left wrist, that have got fans talking.

The solid gold wristwatches, positioned alongside a series of bangles and hair ties, amount to £20K each.

Instagram fans were quick to note the pricey purchases, with one posting: “Why is she wearing two watches on the same wrist?😂”

Another wrote: “Both are on the same time!” as one remarked: “One for the hour one for minute duh.”

A fourth then posted: “Because 2 Cartier watches just makes sense😂.”

Another joked: “I saw Nicola wearing two watches so I bought two watches.”

When Selena uploaded the snaps to her own account, she quipped: ““Fine calls us a throuple #foreverplusone.”

Fans were clearly delighted at the unexpected friendship and praised Nicola for reaching out to Selena.

One gushed: “Could y’all imagine somehow meeting Selena and becoming her best friend. Like it’s literally my dream. I cannot imagine how much fun they have.”

Another put: “I ship this so hard.”

It comes after the release of Selena’s emotionally raw documentary, My Mind and Me.

Meanwhile, Nicola and Brooklyn’s wedding storm follows claims of a widening rift between the two families, with Brooklyn’s billionaire father-in-law Nelson Peltz and his wife allegedly “looking down on” retired footballer David and former pop star Victoria.

While Nicola insisted “there is no feud”, she pointedly explained how fashion designer Victoria had decided to break the news about not being able to make her wedding dress to her mum Claudia instead.

Victoria was reportedly already upset at suggestions that she had in some way let down the bride-to-be by not coming up with a finished outfit for the big day in April last year.

Nicola said of her mother in law: “She said that her atelier (studio) couldn’t make the dress in time.”

Insiders have claimed that Victoria never promised to make the dress and Nicola’s version of events appears to be at odds with that put forward by people who know the Beckhams.

In the end, Nicola got married in an “incredible” Valentino number, which took a year to organise.

So far neither of Brooklyn’s parents have spoken publicly on the issue but last night a source close to Victoria told The Sun: “This all keeps getting rehashed, and is fuelling the flames.”
