Caitlin Clark can’t contain her laughter as Fever teammate accidentally drops X-rated remark in press conference

Indiana Fever star Lexie Hull was left red-faced after accidentally dropping an X-rated remark on Wednesday night – and Caitlin Clark couldn’t contain her laughter.

In a postgame press conference after the Fever’s 84-80 victory over the Connecticut Sun, Hull was discussing the impact she tried to have on the game at Gainbridge Fieldhouse when she made the unfortunate comment without realizing.

She said: ‘So [I was] trying to be as active as I could and get my hands on as many balls as I could.’

After immediately thinking of the other crude way that statement could be interpreted, Clark looked to teammate Kelsey Mitchell before dropping her head and bursting into laughter.

An embarrassed Hull was also left with the giggles in a clip which has gone viral on social media, before Clark sighed: ‘Oh, Lex.’

Fans found her blunder equally hilarious on social media, with one writing: ‘This is great’.

Another posted: ‘I don’t care who you are, that’s unintentionally hilarious’.

A third put: ‘This is awesome we all heard the same thing caitlin!’

Barstool Sports founder Dave Portnoy also quoted a clip of the moment on X and wrote: ‘This team is winning games, having fun. Playoffs cant get here fast enough.’

Not for the first time this season, prior to Hull’s X-rated gaffe Clark found herself on the end of some brutal defensive work on Wednesday night.

As Indiana hosted Connecticut in front of the likes of Simone Biles and Gabby Thomas, the 22-year-old once again broke records in her rookie year, but it was not all plain sailing after she was caught by a hefty bodycheck and sent crashing to the court during the game.

The violent move came from Sun center Alyssa Thomas, and was called a common foul – leaving fans fuming and asking why it wasn’t upgraded to a flagrant.

‘That’s not basketball,’ one wrote on X, while another added: ‘Cheap shot leaning in with the shoulder.’

Clark has twice been the victim of flagrant fouls this season – and both of which came against the same opponent in the Chicago Sky.

The first was a check from Chennedy Carter, and the second from Angel Reese – another rookie that has become Clark’s big rival in their debut season.
