Caitlin Clark fans are certain that the Indiana Fever star is keeping mum about some sort of major surprise after she was quizzed about her visit to Yankees Stadium.

Speaking to reporters at practice in Indiana on Wednesday, Clark was asked at one point: ‘How did the New York experience come about… and what else did you get involved with?’

Smirking, the point guard replied: ‘I was honestly just in New York for something I had to do… and never been to a Yankees game before so I was like, why not?’

On social media, fans tried to find another reason for Clark to go to New York other than to just attend a baseball game, as she claimed.

‘Okay the dimple gave it away,’ a fan who posted the clip on X shared. ‘What are you hiding, Miss Clark?’

Someone suggested that the 22-year-old point guard was ‘just on her boyfriend’s family vacation and is being because she doesn’t want to talk about her personal life.

‘Hope I’m wrong and something fun comes out of it though! Nike’s main campus is in Portland so I don’t think that’s right now,’ that same user added, referring to Clark’s shoe contract with Nike.

‘Whatever it was, it’s obvious she’s very excited about it!’ another fan wrote.

‘Did CC get married in NYC?’ a person asked to which someone replied: ‘I have no idea how or who started this rumors but i sincerely doubt that cc would get married without her family’s presence lmao.’

With all the inquiries circling around Clark ahead of the Fever’s matchup against the Phoenix Mercury on Friday, a fan joked that ‘Court is in session.’

‘Business man business…. the woman is bizzzzyyyy,’ someone else claimed as Clark’s visit to the Big Apple.

Earlier this week, Clark broke her silence on the prospect of joining her rival Angel Reese in a new 3×3 women’s basketball league backed by Megan Rapinoe, Carmelo Anthony and Steve Nash.

The Fever (11-15) sit seventh in overall WNBA standings and third in the Eastern Conference.
