After seeing her rookie year come to an end in the playoffs, Caitlin Clark has some much-needed downtime to rest and recover. Recent news just emerged that she’ll be testing her luck in another sport in the early days of the offseason.
In a few weeks, the Indiana Fever star is set to appear at a women’s leadership summit held during an LPGA tour event, per SBJ reporter Josh Carpenter on Monday. Clark will also be hitting the green, as she’ll be competing in a pro-am as well.

Over the past few years, Caitlin Clark has been compared to Steph Curry due to her style of play from beyond the arc. Now preparing to test her luck on the golf course, she continues to live up to the comparison of the two-time MVP. Curry regularly competes in golf events, and he started his own “Underrated” league for young adults.
Clark entered the WNBA with an extremely high bar set for her, and she managed to deliver a historic season. Along with being named an All-Star as a rookie, she also took home Rookie of the Year on a near-unanimous decision. Clark helped end the Fever’s eight-year playoff drought this season, breaking numerous records in the process.
As she begins preparing for her sophomore year, Clark will also attempt to showcase her skills outside the basketball court.
Caitlin Clark jokingly said golf was key part of her offseason plans
Dating back to her time at Iowa, Caitlin Clark has always enjoyed golfing in her spare time. News of her upcoming appearance at the women’s summit falls in line with some comments she jokingly made at the end of the season.
The Indiana Fever were able to punch their ticket to the postseason, but their run didn’t last long. Facing off against the Connecticut Sun in round one, they were eliminated after just two games.
In the WNBA, it is customary for players to spend the winter playing professionally in Europe. However, Caitlin Clark stated that is not what she planned on doing this year. When asked about what she is going to do in the offseason, the Rookie of the Year stated she’ll play golf until it gets too cold.
“I haven’t thought a lot too far down the line,” Clark said. “I don’t know what I’m going to do tomorrow or what I’m going to do the next day. Maybe play some golf. That’s what I’m going to do until it gets too cold in Indiana.”
When she isn’t working on improving her craft, it looks like the star guard will be trying to sneak in as many rounds of 18 holes as she can this offseason.
