The Indiana Fever dispatched of the Los Angeles Sparks by a score of 93-86 on Wednesday night, setting off celebrations following their playoff-clinching performance.

Fever Coach Christie Sides informed the basketball world that she received plenty of “really awesome” text messages as a result.

For her star pupil Caitlin Clark, the win was just another rubber stamp en route to what she hopes will be bigger and more important accomplishments in the coming weeks, with the WNBA Playoffs set for September 22.

“It’s definitely a big moment for this place, but at the same time, I came in with the expectation that this was going (to happen),” Clark said after the game.

“For me, this isn’t a party. It’s great, I feel like it’s a great accomplishment, but there’s much more left to be done.

“Yeah, we made the playoffs, but I’m not just happy to be in the playoffs. I think we have the kind of team that can advance (farther by) going one game at a time.”
