One of the best players in the WNBA this season has been the Indiana Fever’s rookie sensation Caitlin Clark. After being in a long back-and-forth debate with Angel Reese of the Chicago Sky for the WNBA Rookie of the Year award, some believe she should be going after MVP instead.
While Las Vegas Aces’ star A’ja Wilson has that award on lockdown, it’d be incredible for Clark to even finish in the top three of MVP voting. However, it wouldn’t be that farfetched after ESPN caught an amazing stat. Clark has scored or assisted on 35.2 PPG thus far, which would be the second most in WNBA history.
This is truly incredible as it proves her impact goes way further than her personal scoring. What makes it even more remarkable is that she’s only in her first year, and will continue to get better. Being listed in the top three most notable performances of the season so far by ESPN is no easy feat for a rookie, and she only appears to be getting better.
