Clark has increased its social media presence
Caitlin Clark just wrapped up her first season as the number one overall pick in the WNBA, and boy did she make an impact! She led the Indiana Fever to their first postseason appearance since 2016 and snagged the title of the league’s 2024 Rookie of the Year.
Now that the season’s over, Clark finally has some time off from basketball. It’s her first break since her senior season with the Iowa Hawkeyes. She’s not usually one to flood her social media with posts, but she’s been keeping busy this offseason, especially on TikTok.
Caitlin Clark’s intense reaction to near hole-in-one stuns fans
Before this week, Clark hadn’t posted on TikTok since Iowa’s Final Four run in April. But on Monday, she shared a video of her and her Fever teammate, Lexie Hull, hitting the golf course. Then, after being named to the 2024 All-WNBA First Team on Wednesday, she posted another video looking back on her amazing rookie season.
Even her All-Star teammate, Aliyah Boston, noticed her increased social media activity. Boston commented, “Woahhh I’m loving the tik tok posts.” To which Clark replied, “I want to be you. You are my biggest inspo babes.” It’s great to see these amazing athletes supporting each other, even off the court.
She has done a great job with Boston
Speaking of their on-court chemistry, Clark and Boston really hit it off during their first season as teammates in 2024. As the back-to-back No. 1 overall picks, they led the Fever to the postseason, although they unfortunately fell short in a first-round sweep to the Connecticut Sun.
Clark’s stats were seriously impressive this season, averaging 19.2 points, 5.7 rebounds, and a league-leading 8.4 assists per game. Boston also held her own with an average of 14.0 points and 8.9 rebounds per contest. These two are definitely a force to be reckoned with on the court.
Looking ahead to Year 2, Clark and Boston are eager to build on their chemistry and take their game to the next level. It’s exciting to think about what they’ll achieve together in the upcoming season.
All in all, it’s been a whirlwind of a season for Caitlin Clark, and it’s clear that she’s just getting started. Her social media game is on point, and her partnership with Aliyah Boston is one to watch. Can’t wait to see what these two have in store for us next year!
