Caitlin Clark Hails Kelsey Mitchell’s Impact With Heartfelt Praise

The Indiana Fever are as hot as any team in the league after dominating the Chicago Sky Friday night. The Fever have now won five out of six, and after starting the season 1-8, are back to. 500 with a 17-17 record.

With eight games remaining, Indiana is now in prime position to end a seven-year playoff drought, and Caitlin Clark and Kelsey Mitchell have been vital reasons why.

Clark spoke on the impact and experience that Mitchell brings to the table that is vital to the team’s recent success.

“We are just starting to understand each other much better… It’s been a lot of fun for me. She’s playing so well right now, just as good as any player in this league, so I feel very lucky and fortunate to have her by my side.”

Friday night, Caitlin Clark and Kelsey Mitchell led all scorers. Clark had 31 points, 12 assists, and knocked down five three-pointers, while Mitchell dropped 23 points, which was her sixth straight game with 20+ points.

On the season, Mitchell and Clark are the two team leaders in points. Mitchell is averaging 18.3 points, 2.5 rebounds, and 1.9 assists. While Clark is averaging 18.0 points, 8.1 assists, and 5.7 rebounds.
