Cardi B Accuses Tasha K of Concealing Offshore Trusts Amid Escalating Bankruptcy Battle
In the ongoing legal tussle between Cardi B and Tasha K, the “Bodak Yellow” rapper is now alleging that the embattled blogger is resorting to hiding assets to obstruct collection efforts.
Court documents obtained by Radar Online reveal that Cardi B’s legal team is urging the court to enforce subpoenas against Patricia Haynes, who is allegedly evading compliance. The attorneys claim that Haynes possesses information about offshore accounts held by the Unwine with Tasha K host and her husband, details that were purportedly omitted in her initial Chapter 11 bankruptcy filing.
Beyond Cardi B’s pursuit of owed funds, Tasha K’s alleged failure to disclose assets is being framed as a violation of 18 U.S.C. § 152. This statute outlines penalties for debtors who “knowingly and fraudulently conceals” property from the court or creditors during bankruptcy proceedings.
Concealing assets during bankruptcy is a federal offense, and if Cardi B can substantiate Tasha K’s intentional nondisclosure, the blogger may face criminal fines and up to five years in federal prison.
Cardi B initiated her efforts to collect from Tasha K last month, demanding information on all the blogger’s assets, including a Georgia home and available cash. Additional documents disclosed by HipHopDX indicate that Tasha K (real name LaTasha Kebe) currently holds nearly $30,000 in cash and spends over $20,000 monthly on travel, fine dining, and entertainment.
These developments follow a similar lawsuit by comedian Kevin Hart against Tasha K. Hart sued the blogger and his former assistant for extortion after Tasha K released an interview with Hart’s former assistant, alleging infidelity by the comedy star. Hart claimed that Tasha K sought money to prevent the interview’s release.
Cardi B’s recent subpoenas, a continuation from those sent during the summer, targeted all five of Tasha K’s current banking institutions. The Bronx rapper sought comprehensive information on Tasha K’s finances and requested documents and communications with third parties regarding the blogger’s financial matters, employment, income, expenses, businesses, or business interests.
In this escalating legal battle, Cardi B continues her pursuit of financial restitution while raising serious allegations against Tasha K’s handling of assets during the bankruptcy process.
