Nicki Minaj and her husband Kenneth Petty are reportedly at the center of a petition, which ask them to move out of Hidden Hills over ‘safety concerns.’

In addition to voicing fears that the 45-year-old registered sex offender’s move to the area would lower appraisal value, the online request has collected more than 886 signatures, on Change.org, signifying the community is ‘against sex offenders in [their] Hidden Hills neighborhood.’

The petition goes on to urge locals to put ‘resident’s safety first’ and states that the 40-year-old rap superstar’s spouse is a ‘level 3 sex offender, convicted for the attempted rape of a 16-year-old-girl.’

It also claims that Petty has a ‘high likelihood to reoffend’ and ‘is currently under house arrest for failing to register as a sex offender in California as law demands it.’

‘The Petty couple moving in would lead to appraisal value of our homes to go DOWN due to safety concerns. It would lead to children and women being a target,’ the petition added. ‘Don’t wait to receive a letter from the government saying a predator has moved in near you.’

Nicki Minaj spends time with her children and husband Kenneth

The petition was first started in December, 2022, after the couple purchased a $19.5 million home in the same gated community as as Kylie Jenner and Kim Kardashian.

It has recently regained some traction, according to TMZ, after Petty ‘recently filed new legal docs changing his address on the Megan’s Law website.’

The publication has also found ‘proof’ that the petition may be an elaborate ‘troll-job,’ orchestrated by Cardi B fans.

The site unearthed a tweet by one, which read: ‘We, as Nicki antis, can turn the residents of Hidden Hills AGAINST Nicki and her pedo husband moving in, hurting her assets in the process.’

The person, who created the Change.org, seemingly went under the alias, Beverly Barden, which the site pointed out ‘does seem like a play off the Bardi Gang, the name Cardi’s fans use.’

On Friday, the Hidden Hills Community Association confirmed to TMZ that ‘they were unaware’ of this ‘petition, or of a Beverly Barden.’

The site also pointed out that there is ‘no public listing of a Beverly Barden in Hidden Hills.’

This week, 529 people signed the petition as Petty wraps his home detention for failing to register as a sex offender when he moved to California with his wife.

While he avoided a 10-year jail sentence, Petty was ordered to pay a $55,000 fine.

Petty, who married Minaj, 39, in 2019, plead guilty back in September, 2022, on a federal count of failing to register as a sex offender.

While he was looking at a maximum prison sentence of 10 years with a lifetime of supervised release, he was sentenced to just one year of in-home detention, and three years of probation, according to CBS Los Angeles.

Petty was convicted of first-degree attempted rape of a 16-year-old girl in 1995, for which he was sentenced to four years in prison.

Petty started dating Minaj in 2018 and they tied the knot a year later and moved to California.

Petty was pulled over by the Beverly Hills Police Department in November 2019, and discovered he was a registered sex offender in New York, though he had not registered in California when he moved, which he’s required to do.

Petty plead guilty, at the time, but his hearing has been delayed several times before the sentence was handed out.

Prosecutors were recommending 15 months of prison time and five years of supervised release, and not a home detention, since he lives with Minaj in a gated community in Calabasas, which they contended was not much of a ‘punishment.’

The judge ultimately disagreed, sentencing petty to one year of in-home detention, plus three years of probation, and a $55,000 fine.

Jennifer Hough speaks out against Kenneth Petty and Nicki Minaj

Petty was also in legal trouble in August, when Jennifer Hough, Petty’s alleged rape victim, filed a lawsuit against both him and Minaj.

Hough claimed that both Minaj and Petty tried to coerce her into recanting her rape accusation, and they even offered her $500,000 to do so.

She also accused them of inflicting emotional distress, though she voluntarily dropped the lawsuit against Minaj.

‘The case against Nicki was voluntarily dismissed. The case against Kenneth Petty is still ongoing. Stay tuned!” Hough’s lawyer, Tyrone Blackburn said.
