Jason Dickinson had a career year with the Chicago Blackhawks, on what was often considered the team’s best fore-checking line.

They had the highest xg% percentage with the team, while Dickinson led the team in goals with 22 for the 2023-2024 regular season.
In the 467 minutes they’ve spent together in five-on-five situations, the Hawks have outscored opponents 19-15 and generated a 51.0% scoring-chance ratio. Conversely, when neither has been present on the ice, the Hawks have been outscored by a 147-63 margin and generated a 41.6% scoring-chance ratio.

He ended the season a +4 on a team chock full of players with a negative on-ice differential.


And he has been recognized for his play this season, as he reached a significant spot in Selke voting this year, at #12.

While not #1, which of course Aleksander Barkov would secure the Selke Trophy this puts him on a list with some of the best players in the NHL.

Playing in Chicago has been beneficial for the bottom-six center, who has primarily been a defensive forward lately.

He ended the year with 35 points( 22 G, 13 A) and gained an All-Star nod as well, Dickinson also averaged 16:34 TOI during 2023-2024 as well.
