It was only in March that he finally completed his probation after assaulting then-girlfriend Rihanna back in 2009.

But Chris Brown cast himself as the good guy as he gifted a domestic abuse survivor with a new car.

The R&B singer, 26, surprised Jessica Roncalli and her three kids with a gift-wrapped

Honda.

‘I was selfish, arrogant, and cold hearted. I’m able to bless and inspire so many
others and I realize that now,’ he wrote alongside a photo he posted on
Instagram of Roncalli with her new ride.

Brown told TMZ Monday he didn’t know the family personally but in his social
media post three weeks ago, he did say that he knew they had experienced
domestic violence.

‘This woman has delt (sic) with domestic abuse through her life and her 3 wonderful
children had to experience that. I see myself when I looked into their eyes,’ he
wrote.

‘The amount of strength this woman has is remarkable. I hope I could make their
Christmas a great one.’

Making a change: brown said he wanted ‘to put a smile on the kids faces and
admitted he’s been ‘selfish, arrogant and cold-hearted’ in the past

In 2009, Brown physically assaulted then-girlfriend Rihanna just hours before the
Grammys, leaving her face battered and blue.

In June that year, he pleaded guilty to felony assault and was placed on probation as well as being ordered to do community service and attend domestic violence counseling.

Early on in his career, MTV reported at the time of his arrest for attacking Rihanna, Brown often spoke about the violence he witnessed first-hand growing up, as his mother was allegedly beaten by his step-father.

Meanwhile, the rapper spent a happy Christmas with his daughter Royalty and shared a photo of the 18-month-old tot excitedly opening her presents.

He wrote that the little girl is ‘the greatest gift God has given me.’

And his new album Royalty debuted at number three in the Christmas charts.
