Derrick Henry has finally been acquired by the Baltimore Ravens, according to ESPN and NFL Media. The two sides agreed to terms on a two-year contract on Tuesday, one year after the team was rumored to have tried to acquire him through trade.

The 30-year-old Henry got $16 million but can earn a maximum of $20 million over the two-year deal due to incentives.

Henry has acknowledged the deal on X, saluting “Flock Nation I swea it’s up !” Henry tweeted after agreeing to terms.

The 30-year-old remained available on the free agent market longer than expected as others signed deals on the first day of the legal tampering period.

Before Henry joined Baltimore, 10 other free-agent running backs had reached deals.

Henry earned his fourth career Pro Bowl nod for his efforts during the 2023 NFL season. He led all running backs across the league with 280 attempts, logging 1,167 yards and 12 touchdowns. The supersized former Offensive Player of the Year has never averaged fewer than 4.2 yards per carry, and he also led the NFL in yards after contact in 2023, per Pro Football Focus.

Now, he will be in the same backfield with Lamar Jackson to create one of the most deadly duos we have ever seen.
