On Friday, Kelsey Plum’s Las Vegas Aces defeated Caitlin Clark’s Indiana Fever 78-74. However, the 30-year-old point guard sparked a row on social media for her comments during the game. In a post-game interview, Plum responded to the backlash received on social media from fans.

The Aces registered back-to-back victories in the WNBA and clinched the second spot in the Western Conference with a 24-13 record. On the other hand, Caitlin Clark’s Fever have maintained third place in the East with a 19-19 record. Becky Hammon’s side restricted Indiana to 35 points in the first half, with just 13 points in the first quarter.

During a half-time interview, Plum was asked about the Aces’ defensive strategy, and after a short delay, she said, “I don’t know. Come back to me later.” In the second half, the Aces prevented the Fever from making a comeback. The two-time WNBA champion was asked to reflect on the win, and she said, “I don’t know. We have good players.”

So I just said come back to me.”

Plum’s teammate Chelsea Gray, who was also at the interview, teased her by saying, “Perfect answer.” The 30-year-old also talked about her “good players” comment, saying, “I don’t even have social media on my phone.
