TV viewers will watch Euro 2024 matches on a brand new channel.

A large chunk of Euro 2024 games will be shown on a new free-to-air channel that many fans won’t have heard of before.

With the start of this summer’s European Championship a little over three weeks away, England and Scotland fans not heading to Germany are starting to make plans.

Whether watching games at the pub or sat on the sofa, millions of eyeballs across the two home nations will be glued to TV screens this summer.

The BBC and ITV will share the broadcasting rights in the UK, as is usually the case for European Championships and World Cups.

However, fans will be treated to a bran new channel when tuning in to watch matches on the BBC.

The state broadcaster is launching the brand new BBC iPlayer Euros channel, which will show the 27 games broadcast on BBC One and BBC Two.

As well as live matches, the new channel will also provide build-up content including special features, in-depth analysis, reports from the England and Scotland camps and matches from the Euros archive spotlighting the greatest games in tournament history.

BBC Sport has announced that its Euros coverage will be presented by Gary Lineker, Alex Scott, Gabby Logan and Mark Chapman.

Regular pundits including Alan Shearer, Micah Richards and Rio Ferdinand will cover the tournament from Berlin, plus special guests including former England stars Joe Hart and Wayne Rooney, Euro 2012 winner Cesc Fabregas and managers David Moyes and Thomas Frank.

England’s group stage opener against Serbia on June 16 and their second match against Denmark on June 20 will both be broadcast on the BBC, before ITV show the final group outing against Slovenia on June 25.

ITV will cover the tournament opener between Germany and Scotland on June 14, before BBC broadcast Scotland’s other two group encounters against Switzerland (June 19) and Hungary (June 23).
