Travis Kelce and Taylor Swift are so big that even a former President is speaking on them.
Former President and current presential candidate Donald Trump has weighed in on the Kelce-Swift relationship, telling the Daily Caller website:
“I wish the best for both of them. I hope they enjoy their life, maybe together, maybe not — most likely not,” Trump said.
The NFL is going full Swiftie mode this weekend in a new promo for Sunday Night Football. They debuted a Taylor Swift-themed ad ahead of Sunday’s matchup between the Kansas City Chiefs and New York Jets, using the singer’s hit song, “Welcome to New York.”
Swift is expected to attend Sunday’s matchup at MetLife Stadium, where she performed three sold-out nights of her Eras Tour this year.
Viewership for Sunday Night Football skyrocketed on Sunday after Swift was seen cheering for Kelce as his team destroyed the Chicago Bears 41-10. According to FOX Sports, the game was the week’s highest-rated telecast on any network, with 24.3 million viewers.
NBC is now hoping she provides them with the same if not more.
Kelce’s stock has also soared as sales of Kelce’s “87” jersey surged 400% on Sunday. Everybody seems to be benefiting from this relationship. The NFL is never struggling with ratings, but if Swift can bring in an entire new base of fans, it can only spell good things for the future.
