Dwayne Johnson, Kevin Hart do viral tortilla TikTok challenge: More funny friendship moments

Comedic pairing Dwayne “The Rock” Johnson and Kevin Hart have been going at each other on and off the big screen for years.

From starring in various movies together to their playful banter during interviews and red carpets, the iconic Hollywood duo has served fans with relatable and hilarious moments. Johnson and Hart have starred in 2016’s “Central Intelligence,” 2017’s “Jumanji: Welcome to the Jungle” and the 2019 follow-up “Jumanji: The Next Level,” to name a few movies. Hart even made an appearance in Johnson’s 2019 “Fast and the Furious” installment of “Hobbs and Shaw.”

And we’ll continue to see Johnson and Hart together on the big screen. This time, the actors are voicing animated superhero dogs in “DC League of Super-Pets,” in theaters July 29.

“There’s an amazing amount of chemistry there,” Hart told USA TODAY at a July 13 screening of the adventure/action animated film. “We constantly get to reenergize what we do and introduce new layers of our relationship.”

“DC League of Super-Pets” will also feature characters voiced by Vanessa Bayer, Natasha Lyonne, Diego Luna, John Krasinski, Kate McKinnon and Keanu Reeves.

Hart, who turned 43 on July 6, joked to USA TODAY at the screening that Johnson, 50, didn’t get him anything for his birthday.

“He sent me a video message,” Hart said jokingly. “I send him a gift every year. That’s a lie I’ve never bought him anything but in my heart, I want to.”
