Elon Musk says he’s selling Perfume to gather cash for Twitter buyout

With a fresh comment, Elon Musk, the brains behind Tesla and SpaceX, has ignited Twitter once again. “Please purchase my perfume, so I can buy Twitter,” reads his most recent tweet. For those who are unaware, Elon Musk agreed to buy the social networking site Twitter in April 2022.

Twitter said in October 2022 that it had spoken with Elon Musk and that he had verified his willingness to pay the $44 billion sum in question. Musk now plans to make some money by offering perfume for sale online.

Why Does Elon Musk Sell Fragrances?

In the beginning, Musk bought a 9.2 percent share on Twitter. Musk, however, made the decision to fully acquire Twitter owing to several differences and a desire to promote “Free Speech” on the social networking platform. In April 2022, a settlement was reached between the two sides, and $54.20 per share in cash was agreed upon.

Musk withdrew from the agreement in July 2022, claiming that Twitter had not given him enough information on spam bots and phony accounts using its network. This resulted in a court dispute between the two that lasted a few months. Musk has now once again stated his desire to complete the transaction at the agreed-upon price of $ 54.20 per share.

By postponing the trial, the US court has given Elon Musk more time to secure money and finish the transaction. In order to raise the funds needed for the transaction, Elon Musk jokingly begged his Twitter followers to buy his “Burnt Hair” fragrance. Even his Twitter profile was modified to “Perfume Salesman.” Musk claims that with a name like his, he just had to go into the perfume business.
The Boring Company, Musk’s business, will sell his new fragrance, Burnt Hair. It is advertised as an omnigender fragrance with the aroma of “The Essence of Repugnant Desire.” According to Musk, it is the best perfume available and will make you stand out in the crowd.

The perfume bottle has a diamond-shaped cork and is crimson in color. It has the Burnt Hair logo and the words “Singed” underneath. On the website of The Boring Company, the perfume is now available for $100 (around 8,250 pounds).

The scent is also available for purchase using cryptocurrencies. Musk announced through Twitter that the business also accepts Dogecoins. If you believe what Musk says, The Boring Company has already sold more than 10,000 bottles of Burnt Hair as of this point. In order to purchase Twitter, he would need to sell at least 440 million bottles.
