Eminem Apologizes to Rihanna Over Leaked Diss Track “Siding” With Chris Brown

Regarding a diss track that “sided” with Rihanna’s ex, Chris Brown, Eminem has expressed regret to the singer. The rapper faced backlash the previous year after a 7-second music clip called “Things Get Worse” appeared on Reddit.

The footage, which was reportedly taken from an old, unreleased song for his album Relapse, reportedly included a lyric in which Eminem refers to Brown’s 2009 felony assault accusation against Rihanna, stating, “Of course, I side with Chris Brown, I’d beat a bitch down too.” Nevertheless, he has already issued an apology over the unsettling lyrics found on Side B of his new album, Music to Be Murdered By. People quickly noticed that the song “Zeus” had a direct apology over the leaked clip after Eminem’s surprise album launched on Friday.

“But, me, long as I re-promise to be honest / And wholeheartedly, apologies, Rihanna,” the rapper sings on the song. “I apologize to Ri for the song leak; it wasn’t intended to upset you. In any case, I made a mistake.”
Regarding either song, Rihanna has not yet responded.
