‘Good Morning Football’ is going away.

It’s done, but just in New York, and just for a while.

According to NBC Sports, the show will move from NY to Los Angeles and will be off television from March 29 before relaunching in the summer or preseason. A separate show will be produced and syndicated under another name via Sony Pictures Television. It is unclear as to whether the same cast or crew will take charge.

‘GMF’ has been around since 2016 and is a favorite among football fans, though many of them preferred it when Kay Adams and Nate Burleson were around.

The hours of the new show have not been determined, at least not officially. But a source with inside knowledge has revealed that it could be cut by an hour and air from 8:00 AM to 10:00 AM ET as a separate two-hour show will be recorded and syndicated.

There’s no telling how this will work out just yet. The last time the NFL had a morning show airing from California but started at 6:00 AM ET – ‘NFL AM’ – was in 2012, and it was a difficult gig.

Production for ‘Good Morning Football’ is likely to begin at 5:00 AM local time, which means folks will probably need to show up an hour or two before, which is a massive adjustment.
