Ever since Haliey Welch went viral for her “Hawk Tuah” video, she’s become a very polarizing figure in the media.

Some believe that now that the joke is over, people need to stop paying attention to her, and others think it’s smart that she’s milking her fame for as long as possible.

However, after the New York Mets invited her to throw out a ceremonial first pitch, everyone agreed it was a bad idea to invite Welch.

“That’s kind of gross, guys. You really think this was good for a game that’s loved by kids?” said one commenter.

“Whose idea was this, and why have they not been fired? What an organizational embarrassment,” added a third.

She has continued to show up in even the most random spots, but she is still gaining much attention. Most recently at the Mets game but also WWE matches and a podcast with Howie Mandell. She has even made it on stage for major concerts to deliver her infamous line.

Many online believe it’s time for her to stop going so viral.
