Everyone Saying the Same Thing About Caitlin Clark’s Latest Message (ch)

Caitlin Clark’s rookie season is over, but her impact on the world of women’s basketball persists.

The Indiana Fever point guard authored an Instagram post on Wednesday, Oct. 2, to cap a tumultuous and highly successful rookie year in the WNBA.

The primary theme of the message, which included three photos of Clark on the basketball court, was one of gratitude.

“Year one ✅ — thank you to the many people who have supported me as I’ve been able to live my childhood dream,” Clark captioned the photo gallery. “I’m filled with gratitude as I reflect on this past year of my life. See you all in year two ❤️ 💫.”

Clark’s message of gratitude was met with overwhelming appreciation in return from her fan base, who thanked her in droves for the experience of simply getting to watch her play.

“Thank you for allowing us to partake in your amazing college journey and the start to your professional career!” one commenter wrote. “You are so fun to watch and, as a mother to 4 children, I thank you for being an amazing person, as well as an amazing basketball player!! You make Iowa proud and we can’t wait to see what you do in year 2!!”

The sentiment of pride was another through-line in the messages sent back to Clark.

“We are so proud of you 🥺. THANK YOU for all the joy you have brought, watching you has brought so much happiness 😇,” another poster said. “Enjoy this much deserved and needed off season, take care of yourself and can’t wait to see you next season!! 💓💓”

Two of Clark’s former Iowa Hawkeyes teammates responded in the comments section as well with heartfelt messages for the league’s unanimous Rookie of the Year.

“So proud of you,” Kate Martin of the Las Vegas Aces wrote.

Gabbie Marshall, who has now left the game of basketball behind, also chimed in with a comment.

“Love you & so proud of you ❤️,” she added.

More than 250,000 people had “liked” Clark’s post just over an hour after it went live on social media.
