Fans want the offside rule to be changed after Romelu had yet another goal ruled out at Euro 2024.

On Saturday evening Belgium beat Romania 2-0 to get off the mark at Euro 2024, bouncing back from their opening game defeat to Slovakia.

Youri Tielemans opened the scoring inside two minutes with a low drilled effort from the edge of the penalty area, before Kevin de Bruyne doubled the advantage with 10 minutes left to play.

The result set up a blockbuster final day in Group E, with Belgium, Romania, Slovakia and Ukraine all tied on three points each.

However, the big talking point of the night came when Romelu Lukaku had a goal disallowed for the third time this tournament.

The Chelsea striker thought he had scored his side’s second goal when raced clear of the Romania defensive line, latched on to De Bruyne’s through ball and slotted past the goalkeeper.

Lukaku wheeled away in celebration, only for the automated offside system to show that he was milimetres offside.

Controversially, it appeared that the tiniest amount of Lukaku’s sleeve and knee where offside.
